The West Central Valley boys and girls basketball teams knew that they had a tough task ahead of them on Friday Night against Des Moines Christian, and unfortunately for neither team they were unable to come away with any victories, as the girls fell by twenty-five 52-27, and the boys couldn’t come back from an early deficit 80-28.

The second quarter was the major difference for the girls, as Des Moines Christian had a 18-4 outscoring of the Wildcats in the quarter, and West Central Valley was unable to recover as they fell to 10-8 on the year.

The boys were out gunned in the first half as Des Moines Christian was able to pick up their seventh straight win while West Central Valley continued their long losing streak.

Both teams will take a breather after playing four games this last week before they retake the court this next week as they continue to get ready for districts.
