The ADM boys and girls basketball teams were able to get some wins on Friday Night in Perry, as the girls beat the Jayettes 85-55 and the boys got the win 62-45.
The ADM girls had one of their best scoring performances of the season, as the 85 was a season high for the team in points. They were led by three different players in double figures, with senior Abbie Hlas, senior Delaney Bertman, and junior Grace Hardcastle all contributed to double figure nights for the girls side, as ADM was able to get out to a 22-5 led and did not look back.
Perry’s Molly Lutmer led all scorers with 36 points on the night. The ADM girls now go to 11-5 on the season.
The boys weren’t able to cruise to victory as much as Perry was able to hang tough with them into halftime 25-23 for an ADM lead. The third quarter proved to be the difference as Adel-Desoto-Minburn was able to go on a 20-2 run to close the quarter and not look back for the win. ADM moved the ball well all night though they couldn’t hit any shots, though they started to fall in the second half.
ADM was led by Nate Mueller, who led three different players in double figures as the boys head to 8-7 on the season.
ADM teams will get a pair of interesting games next week when they host Carroll at home and Bondurant on the road. You will be able to hear both of those games on the home of Tiger basketball True Country K1079.
