Tickets are going fast for the Guthrie County Arts Council’s annual dinner fundraiser.

The event takes place Friday, February 7th, beginning with a wine and chocolate tasting at the Council’s retail store Art on State in Guthrie Center. Then participants will venture across the street for a meal at 6 p.m. catered by Cabbage Rose restaurant and live music from Bob Fields & the Swing Time Band.

The dinner has been held for around half a decade now, and Council member Debbie Menning shares the reason for its continued appeal, “It’s just such a relaxing evening with friends. It begins here at the store with wine and chocolate tasting at 5 o’clock, and then we move to the restaurant. We can always count on the great food there and then the rock and roll just has been really popular. We just love to watch people sing along, tap their feet, just smile for the whole evening. jJust brings back lots of memories for the audience.”

Tickets are $30 for the event and are available at Art on State. Proceeds go towards the Council, which helps sustain the organization’s ability to display and sell local artists’ work, take part in community events, and host free activities for kids.
