Perry Library

As we head into the month of February, it’s again time to consider joining the Perry Public Library for their monthly Craft Club event.

The next program will have a Valentine’s Day theme, as the project will be string art hearts. All materials are provided and the program is free to attend, though attendees are welcome to bring their own hammer and needle nose pliers. Registration is required and attendees must put down a $5 deposit, which will be refunded the day of the event. Library Director Mary Murphy explains the necessity of the deposit. “You know, it’s really easy to not come if something comes up, and we don’t get called or anything. But we have to buy supplies, and what the whole deposit thing is that it’s just an incentive of getting the number right for supplies. And giving you an incentive when you sign up that, ‘Yes, I’m going to make it there.’”

The Craft Club event will be held on Monday, February 10th at 6 p.m. in the library’s large meeting room, and Murphy points out that the start time is earlier than normal. The last day registration will be accepted is Monday, February 3rd. For more information or to sign up, stop in or call the Perry Library at 515-465-3569.
