A Jamaica woman was recently acquitted of a second-degree theft charge in a jury trial in Guthrie County.

Court documents show a jury found 39-year-old Elisha Marie Mischke not guilty of the class D felony and the case to be dismissed with prejudice. The charge stemmed from a July 11th 2019 incident in which Mischke allegedly sold three tractors online that belonged to someone else. Another jury trial for Mischke was cancelled this week after she pleaded guilty to fourth degree theft, a serious misdemeanor, for an August 12th, 2019 incident in which she scammed a victim into paying her $500 in earnest money for the purchase of her residential property which did not go through.
