Tuesday night, the Dallas Center-Grimes Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball teams took a Little Hawkeye Conference Road trip to Oskaloosa to face the Indians for the second time this season.  The end result was just as successful as the first time the two schools met several weeks back in Grimes.

The DC-G Girls’ pounded Oskaloosa once again.  The Fillies offensive execution seems to have found some consistency for Head Coach, Adam Jones’ team.  DC-G’s defense has been solid all year, and it seems that the offense is now adding in a complementary pillar the Fillies weapons.  DC-G took Oskaloosa down in impressive fashion, 63-28.

Jordan Cunningham and Elizabeth Elfvin continue to lead DC-G in scoring, as the two combine for nearly 28 points per game.  DC-G is now 10-5, and winners of 4 of their past 5 games.  DC-G will rematch with Grinnell on Friday in Grimes.  The Fillies dropped the first meeting to Grinnell by 11.

For the Boys’, they added another big win to their record.  DC-G is now 10-4, and winners of 3 of their last 4 games.  The Mustangs downed the hometown, Oskaloosa Indians 43-39.  Every game at this point in the season is extremely important for District Postseason seeding.  The Mustangs were lead in scoring by Trenton Liebe with 15 points.

DC-G hosts a Boy/Girl Doubleheader versus Grinnell on Friday.  The Varsity Girls’ action will tip-off at 6:00pm, with the Boys’ to follow.
