After a rough night Friday, both AC/GC basketball teams bounced back Monday night.

The Chargers made the trip to Corning to take on Southwest Valley in a varsity double header. The girls took the court first and did not get off to a great start. They trailed 14-8 after the first quarter. AC/GC was able to cut that deficit to four before halftime. The Chargers would find their groove in the third and outscored Southwest Valley 20-9 to take a lead into the final eight minutes. AC/GC would hang on for a 57-49 victory for their eighth win of the season.

The boy’s team then took the court to try to complete the sweep. AC/GC got off to a much quicker start than Friday night and led 13-10 after the first quarter. The Chargers would continue to build on that led and took home a 70-45 victory. AC/GC will be looking to maintain that momentum tonight when they head to Woodward-Granger.
