The Panorama wrestling team had a busy weekend.
The Panthers made the trip to Corning this weekend to take part in the John J Harris Invitational. Panorama had two individuals compete for a gold medal in a crowded field. Emry Colby earned his 30th victory of the year as he dominated his way through his first three matches. Colby’s reign ended in the championship match when he fell to the third-ranked wrestler in Class 2A 3-2. Wyatt Appleseth continued to show why is he among the states best wrestlers. Appleseth pinned his way through each of his four matches to end the day at the top of the podium. In addition to adding yet another gold medal to his collection, he kept his perfect season alive and left Corning with a 29-0 record.
The Panthers placed eighth as a team in a field of 15. Panorama will be back in action Thursday when they head to Lynnville-Sully.
