Area constituents can learn first hand about the current Iowa legislative session at an event in Guthrie Center next weekend.

The Guthrie County Republicans are hosting a legislative coffee at the Guthrie County Farm Bureau office from 8-9 a.m. Saturday, February 1st. Republicans Senator Jake Chapman and Representative Ray Sorensen will be in attendance to share what’s been happening in the two chambers, and answer questions about their work in the state’s capital. Coffee and refreshments will be provided and this event is free and open to the public. A second and final legislative coffee for the year will be held on Saturday, March 7th.
