The public is invited to the annual celebration of a local beef producer organization, to be held in Adel next Saturday.

The Dallas County Cattlemen’s Association will host their yearly banquet on February 1st. The event will be held at the Country Lane Lodge, located just to the east of Adel, with a social hour starting at 5:30 p.m. and the meal served at 7. The dinner includes locally raised prime rib, as well as a variety of sides, and is free to Association members. Organizers point out that memberships can be purchased at the door, though anyone wanting to take part in just that evening’s festivities can purchase a ticket for $25. Following the meal, there will be a live auction with items donated from area businesses and organizations, as well as a trophy auction and live music.
