After being forced to cancel a previously scheduled event due to inclement weather, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is planning to host another Presidential campaign rally in Perry this weekend. He’s also bringing a couple famous supporters with him.
Sanders will host a town hall meet and greet at La Poste on Sunday morning, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. and the event starting at 11:30. Joining the Senator on this occasion will be New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as well as filmmaker Michael Moore. This will be Sanders’ second visit to Perry since beginning his campaign for the Democratic Presidential nominee, and it’s unofficially the rescheduled event that was cancelled due to a snow storm on January 10th. He previously visited Perry at the McCreary Community Building last May, when his campaign was just getting started.
Sanders is one of 12 individuals seeking the Democratic nomination for President in the June primary election, each of which is hoping to come out on top in the February 3rd Iowa Caucuses. There is no cost to attend Sunday’s town hall, though RSVP’s are recommended. For more information or to register, click the link below.
