An icy road spelled trouble for a certain food delivery truck in Guthrie County this week.
According to Iowa State Patrol, 27-year-old Courtney Linae Cooper of Exira was driving a Schwan’s delivery truck at about 7:30 p.m. Monday westbound on 200th Street about a quarter mile east of Dogwood Avenue. The roadway was icy and covered with snow on the right hand side, and Cooper drove onto an icy area as she entered a left hand curve. The truck started to slide around towards the passenger side, and Cooper overcorrected, causing the truck to over turn. No injuries were reported and $10,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle. Condition of the ice cream treats is unconfirmed at this time.
