The first Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Group meeting of 2020 is coming up soon, hosted by Perry Lutheran Homes.
The program will be held Tuesday, January 28th in the large meeting room at the Perry Public Library, and will start at 3:30 p.m. PLH Chief Care Officer Deb Koelln will facilitate the gathering. She is a certified dementia practitioner and master trainer with a long history of dealing with the illnesses. Koelln will discuss topics that people caring for those that have Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia regularly face, while also addressing the physical and emotional needs of caregivers. She will also offer advice for engaging and enriching the lives of loved ones as the diseases progress. Additionally, attendees will be able to learn, share, and connect with others who are in similar situations.
