After splitting the Varsity action with ADM on Tuesday, the Boys’ and Girls’ squads of Dallas Center-Grimes hope to bring home a pair of victories after a road trip to Newton tonight.

This evening’s match-up between DC-G and Newton will be the second time these two schools have met on the hardwood this winter.

The Fillies and Mustangs came out on top in Grimes back in early December.  The DC-G Girls’ dominated Newton 61-33.  The Boys’ contest was much closer, with the Mustangs coming out victorious 61-56.

The Newton Girls’ are 5-8 on the year, while DC-G is currently 8-5.  The Fillies dropped their game on Tuesday versus ADM, 67-63.

The Newton Boys’ are 4-7, so far, this season.  One of those seven losses came against DC-G in their December meeting.  The Mustangs are now 8-3 heading into tonight’s game.

Tonight starts a stretch of three road games in a row, as DC-G will spend next week traveling to opponents’ gyms.
