12:39pm: Ace Hardware reported receiving three Returned Checks for Insufficient Funds from a Jefferson subject. The officer is investigating. The checks totaled $326.00.

2:04pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Olive Street.

2:15pm: Officers arrested Matthew John Goff, 46 of Perry, at 502 North Vine Street. Goff had an Outstanding Dallas County Arrest Warrant for, “Probation Violation.” Officers learned during the arrest that Goff had stolen alcohol from 106 West Washington Street earlier in the day. AN officer has received video of the event ad has requested an Arrest Warrant for, “Theft 5th Degree – Simple.” Goff was taken to ER for a Medical Evaluation by a doctor and later transported to Dallas County for the warrant.

4:58pm: Jessica Wolf reported receiving Unwanted Calls from a restricted number. The office advised her to ignore them and stop answering the calls.

8:31pm: An officer was requested to remove a Bat form the residence at 409 South Chestnut Street. The caller was able to get the bat out before the officer’s arrival.

******** An officer has completed a Forgery Investigation which began on 01/10/2020. Eric Chrystal reported a recent house guest of his had cashed numerous Forged Checks from his account at a bank in Clive. The checks totaled $4761.00. The officer has requested Arrest Warrants for, James Edward Inman, 39 of Des Moines for, “8 Counts of Forgery – D Felony, Theft 2nd Degree – D Felony, and Ongoing Criminal Conduct – B Felony.”

******** Officers issued 8 Citations for, “Snow Emergency Parking Violation” during this reporting period.
