The final Heart of Iowa Activities Conference dual wrestling meets for this season for the Greene County Rams are tonight in Story City. Coach Zach Beekman’s Rams are 18-3 overall and 4-1 in the conference. They’ll finish the conference dual meet season with host Roland-Story and North Polk (Alleman). The Comets are also 4-1 in the league and 8-7 overall, while the Norsemen are 5-16 overall and 2-3 in the conference.

A sweep tonight would mean a new program and school record for most dual meet victories in a season. The current record stands at 19 from the 2012-13 season. Those Rams went 19-5.

After tonight, Greene County goes to Jewell for the HOIAC tournament this Friday the 24th starting at 5 p.m. in the South Hamilton gym. Greene County’s lone female wrestler, freshman Emma Hoyle, competes this Friday and Saturday at Waverly-Shell Rock High School in Waverly at the Girls’ State Tournament, sponsored by the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association.
