The Perry City Council will convene Tuesday evening in regular session.
The meeting was moved back a day due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The action items will begin with consideration of the renewal of the 2020 Federal Migratory Bird Depredation permit, which allows the City to use turkey vulture effigies as a deterrent to the nesting carrions. Following that, the Council will consider an official vote of support for the renovation of the McCreary Community Building, which will open additional funding sources. They will then get a report from Water Superintendent Matt Holmes.
Other items on the agenda include: a resolution approving tax abatement applications for 2019 construction; authorizing the sale of unused or outdated equipment and property; and a professional services agreement with Bolton and Menk for the 2020 downtown street improvement project. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Clarion Room at Perry City Hall.
