There are many options with regards to what you can do with old clothing you no longer want, and the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Drama Department is giving you a local one.
The school’s theater program is looking for clothes that they could repurpose as costumes for their spring production of “DOA,” which would also be added to their collection for future use. In particular, director Molly Longman is seeking women’s dresses that have a vintage or old fashioned look – or could be altered to look that way – as well as any grey or black men’s dress coats, suit jackets, and dress pants.
The spring play is set in the 1950’s and is based on film noir detective movies of that era, and the school’s current store of costumes is lacking the feel of the period. The drama department also accepts general donations of clothes at any time, which will be used as costumes for future productions. Anyone interested in donating clothes to ADM Drama can stop in or call the high school office at 515-993-4584.
