The search process for a pair of administrative positions in the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District recently yielded a new development.
Superintendent Greg Dufoe says the District was tasked with finding a new activities director and business manager, but for the latter the process became a lot less urgent. “This was unanticipated, but as we went through the search I continued to talk with Nancy Gee, our current Business Manager, and she agreed to extend her time with us. So she does not anticipate retiring until the end of the ‘21 school year, so we have her for another year and a half. So we’re pretty excited about that.”
Meanwhile, the activities director position has been filled on an interim basis this year by former Boone AD Larry Moklestad, while the District seeks a permanent hire. The deadline for applications is January 26th, with the screening and interview process to be held during the month of February. Dufoe is hopeful the new director will be named by the beginning of March.
