A water main break has been repaired in Jefferson.

Public Works Director Dave Morlan tells Raccoon Valley Radio water service has been restored to the 21 homes in the affected area, south of the downtown square. He says a boil advisory is now in place as water samples will be sent in for testing of any contaminants. He anticipates the test results to be completed by Friday. A boil advisory is a precaution whenever water main breaks are repaired.
