The Perry Jayette basketball team picked the wrong night to turn in an uninspired performance as Boone ended a nine game losing skid by blowing out the Jayettes 56-28 in a shocker in Raccoon River Conference action.  Perry trailed 14-10 after the first quarter but Boone put the game away with a 22-5 run in the second quarter aided by sloppy Perry ball handling and out hustling the Jayettes on both ends of the floor.  Perry had no answer for the physical nature of the game as Boone’s half court zone trap appeared to catch Perry off guard and had the Jayettes playing timid on the offensive end all night.  Emma Dighton dominated for the Toreadors with 16 points.

Lydia Olejniczak paced Perry with 10 points and 8 rebounds.

The Jayettes fall to 0-5 in conference play and will travel to Bondurant Friday night weather permitting.
