A reminder: tomorrow is the final day for Perry residents to take advantage of the free evergreen disposal program.

All live evergreen trees, wreaths, and garland are eligible for the pickup, and City staff emphasizes that all decorations should be removed prior to setting the greenery on the curb. Items should not be placed in disposal bags, and everything should be ready for pickup by 7 a.m. tomorrow. There is no cost for current Perry garbage customers to utilize the service, and you do not have to notify the City ahead of time that you plan to take part.

Much like the yard waste pickup offered throughout the summer and fall, the City of Perry offers the evergreen collection as a free service to help residents safely dispose of holiday items, especially since a dried tree presents a fire hazard for homes.
