The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board will convene Monday evening in regular session.

Following approval of the consent agenda, the Board will have the focus on learning portion of the meeting. Items for discussion include: an update on the math curriculum; SMART goal setting; and the draft for the 2020-21 school calendar. The action items will begin with consideration of a resolution for the at-risk/dropout prevention budget and modified supplemental aid. That will be followed with discussion and possible action regarding the principal position for the new elementary school in Adel, which is expected to start in the 2021-22 school year. Next, the Board will consider approval of the audit report, and will set a public hearing for next year’s school calendar.

Other action items include: a lease for the former Minburn Elementary building to be used by the Minburn Public Library; consideration of waste and recycling services, as well as chemical waste disposal; and appointing a representative to the Dallas County Conference Board. The evening will conclude with an update on the Activities Director search. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Board room at the ADM District Administration Center in Adel.
