Due to inclement weather expected tonight throughout central Iowa, the campaign event scheduled for 6 p.m. in Perry with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has been cancelled.
Organizers felt the weather forecast was concerning enough that they didn’t want to risk the travel for the Democratic Presidential hopeful or the public. There is no word yet on if Sanders will visit Perry on another day, as he ramps up his presence in the state prior to the February 3rd Iowa Caucuses. As of now, the campaign event scheduled for Sunday in Perry for another Democrat running for President, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, is still on as planned.
