Yale and surrounding residents can shake off a little cabin fever while supporting two philanthropic efforts this month.

The Yale Community Club is hosting their annual supper fundraiser on Saturday January 18th at the Yale Community Building. Proceeds from the dinner will go towards scholarships to Yale graduating seniors who have completed one semester of post-secondary education. For the last few years the club has partnered with another organization to host a live and silent auction. This year the Club voted to partner with the Guthrie County 4-H Foundation, who are fundraising for a new static exhibit building on the Guthrie County Fairgrounds.

Club member Scott Fredrickson shares why they want to help support the project, “Well, we have several members that of course have kids that are active in 4-H and a lot of the members of the club have been active in 4-H and FFA throughout their years so it’s just a natural fit and Yale is an agricultural community pretty much so of course that fits right in with what we like to accomplish so it was just a natural fit for us.”

Tickets are $20 for the dinner and can be purchased at Farmers State Bank in Yale or the Guthrie County Extension office in Guthrie Center.
