Caden Duncan is not only the head football coach for the Greene County Rams, he’s the strength and conditioning coach for all Rams, male and female. The coach was asked about what’s going on now in that area. “We really promote being in multiple sports, so we need to work around the in-season sports schedule, which I’m happy to do. Right now our off-season program is going really well. Quite a few athletes are in-season in a Winter sport, but they’re all working hard.”
Coach Duncan said some current freshmen and sophomores are hitting the weights. “We’ve got some underclassmen who are really working. They’ve got some goals to play some varsity (football) next year even more than they did. We had a handful of sophomores get a lot of playing time, so I’m excited for them, and we have some freshmen working hard. The work they’re putting in now is going to help them along that path.”
Greene County, and other Iowa high school football programs will find out in the coming weeks what class size they are in for the 2020 and ’21 seasons, followed by district assignments and their full schedules.
