A Perry woman was arrested on felony drug charges after law enforcement was called to a potential firearm incident Sunday.
According to the Perry Police Department, at around 4:30 p.m. they were dispatched to the Quail Run Apartment complex on Iowa Street. The caller said the suspect had possibly left to retrieve a handgun. When officers arrived, they located 36-year-old Christina Ann Steil who matched the description of the suspect, and requested to look in her purse. Upon further investigation, they also found several bags of methamphetamine, marijuana wax, and other drug paraphernalia.
Steil was then arrested on charges including: possession of drugs with intent to deliver, a class B felony; failure to affix drug tax stamp, a class D felony; possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. She was taken to the Dallas County Jail, where she is currently being held on $100,000 bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
