The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers basketball team was back on the court after 16 days off due to winter break, but that didn’t stop them from picking up their first victory during the 2020 calendar year with a 55-48 victory over the Lady Dutch of Pella.

ADM trailed at the half by four points, but used a huge third quarter to outscore Pella by the score of 17-5. ADM was hyper aggressive in the quarter, forcing Pella to play at a quicker pace that helped lead to some easy baskets.

ADM was led by their senior Abbie Hlas, who led the team with 20 points, and Delaney Bertman, who chipped in with 12. Hlas also had 8 rebounds and 3 steals as well, as ADM jumps now to 7-2 on the year.

Their schedule will get back to being tough, as they re-enter Raccoon River Conference play tomorrow against a tough Carroll Lady Tigers team in Carroll. The boy/girl doubleheader will be broadcast on True Country K1079.
