A Jefferson man faces charges for allegedly injuring a child.
According to court documents, 28-year-old Daniel Joseph Tasler is charged with a Class C Felony for child endangerment-serious injury and a simple misdemeanor for obstruction of emergency communication. The charges stem from an incident on December 29th.
Court documents show an officer responded to a call from the Greene County Medical Center Emergency Room at 8:43pm. The officer was told about an injury that was not associated with most falls. During the investigation, the officer noticed other injuries that seemed to be from a physical struggle. Tasler got into an argument with two boys and caused serious injuries to one under the age of nine. Additionally, court documents show Tasler threw a female victim’s cell phone against the wall, after she wanted to call the police.
Tasler was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
