A Grand Junction resident is the new Jamaica library director. 

Alan Robinson is a Grand Junction native, graduated from the former East Greene High School, and studied journalism at Drake University. He worked for magazine publishers in New York City, where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in humanities from New York University.

Robinson moved back to Grand Junction in 2011. He has served as a Grand Junction City Council member, was the first program director for Jefferson Matters: Main Street and now works at Cobblestone Hotel and Suites in Jefferson part time as a guest services representative. 

The Jamaica Library is open from 1-5pm Monday through Friday.
