Jefferson Area Chamber Ambassadors at Junkyard Cafe ribbon-cutting

The Jefferson Area Chamber is looking to ring in the new year with more individuals to be part of the Chamber Ambassadors.

Chamber Board Secretary Jill Morton says the ambassadors are representatives of Chamber-member businesses that show community support at different events. She describes the primary responsibilities of an ambassador.

“They’re representing the Chamber. So when we have an open house (or) any kind of a celebration that a business is having and they want representation, we call out to our ambassadors, and they go. They’re greeting, they’re mixing with the general public as representations of the Chamber and representing their own business.”

Morton adds, about 14 people are ambassadors currently and the recent events they were at include the new Draft Kings sports betting open house at Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson in October and the grand opening of the Junkyard Cafe in Jefferson in November. Morton encourages any Chamber-member business who would like to have someone as an ambassador to contact the Chamber office at 515-386-2155.
