Iowa hunting and fishing licenses for 2019 are now expired and residents need to purchase a new one for 2020.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources offers several options for the different licenses. The cost for a one year fishing or hunting license is $22, a three year fishing license is $62 and a three year hunting special with habitat stamp included is $101. Additionally, the DNR has an outdoor combo for hunting, fishing and habitat for $55. 

Licenses can be purchased through a new mobile app for smartphones with GoOutdoorsIowa. With the app, users can buy and access their license information. As a reminder, to fish or hunt in Iowa, you must have a valid license. Fishing and hunting licenses are also available through your county recorder’s office.
