An Alvarado, Texas man was recently sentenced to five years in prison for an offense committed in Guthrie County.
Court documents show that 56-year-old Everett Eugene Perry, Jr. pled guilty to third degree burglary, a class D felony. He must serve his sentence at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Oakdale, and shall be credited for all time already served for this offense. He must also pay over $1,000 for a fine, surcharges, restitution, attorney and jail fees. This conviction stems from a February 2018 incident in which a Jamaica building was reported to be burglarized with items stolen. A Guthrie County Sheriff’s Deputy obtained blood as evidence as Perry was assumed to have cut himself while removing a gas tank from a lawn mower.
