Time is running out to purchase your ticket for the Guthrie County 4-H Foundation’s prime rib dinner happening tomorrow.
The Foundation is raising funds for a new static exhibit building at the county fairgrounds, with a goal of raising $50,000 by March 15th. Foundation Chair Megan Irlbeck says if they reach that amount the Guthrie County Fair Board will give them $100,000 for the initial project, “The first phase which will get us the concrete slab and a shell of a building, that’s going to cost approximately $150,000. And then anything after that we want to add into the building – the light fixtures, the air conditioning system, the heating system – those would all be in addition to that $150,000.”
Tickets for the dinner are $30 and must be purchased in advance from any Guthrie County 4-H member. There will also be a live auction and 50/50 raffle. If you can’t make the event but still want to support the project, you can donate by visiting here and specifying the donation is for Guthrie County.
