The election for the next President of the United States is less than a year away, and the first indicator of who will be nominated for the Democrat and Republican candidates happens in Iowa next month.

There will be several caucus locations in Guthrie County for members of both political parties to discuss platforms and vote for their preferred candidate. The Democrat caucus locations are as follows: black precinct at the Adair-Casey school building; purple will be at the West Central Valley High School in room 100; blue and brown will be at the Panorama Secondary Building; gold and white will head to the Guthrie Center High School Media Center; green will go to the Yale Community Center; and red will go to the Bayard Community Center.

For the Republican caucuses, voters in the black district will head to the Adair-Casey school building; those in blue, brown, and gold will go to Panorama Elementary; green will go to the Jamaica Community Club; purple will be at the Bayard Public Library; red will be at the West Central Valley High School; and white will head to Bowmans Chapel in Guthrie Center.

The caucus will take place on Monday, February 3rd with voting beginning at 7 p.m.
