A Panora man was recently sentenced for a felony incident that occurred last March.

Court documents show 39-year-old Owen Jarrod Vogel pled guilty to two counts of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class D felony; and three aggravated misdemeanors for domestic abuse assault-first offense, child endangerment, and first-degree harassment. Vogel was sentenced to serve up to 10 years in prison at the Iowa Medical Classification Center in Oakdale. He must pay a $750 fine for one count, restitution, and a domestic abuse assault surcharge.

Fines for the other counts were suspended. All other charges associated with this case were dismissed. The conviction stems from a March 12th, 2019 incident in which Vogel discharged a handgun several times inside his residence and threatened to shoot other occupants.
