Greene County High School’s varsity sports teams have been practicing in preparation for the 2020 portion of the schedule. Tuesday, Jan. 7 is when the Rams get back on the court and the mat. The basketball teams play at girl/boy doubleheader that night at Nevada and the wrestlers have a quadrangular hosted in Woodward by Woodward-Granger.
Activities Director Todd Gordon talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the January schedule and preparing for the postseason. “It’s going to be competitive right out of the shoot, and for wrestling, they’re a month away from Sectionals. Once you grind through January and get through January, you’re in the postseason. So, all of our teams are preparing for that postseason when they come back in January.”
The Jan. 7 basketball twin bill in Nevada will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage begins at 5:45 p.m. with the girls’ game at six o’clock and the boys’ contest to follow.
