Tuesday, December 31st

1:02am: An officer assisted a motorist that had run out of gas at Elm and Lincoln Way Streets.

8:49am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of East Vest Street.

11:21am: An officer assisted the Juvenile Court Officer at 114 North Chestnut Street by gathering a Urine Analysis Collection Kit from a juvenile.

12:41pm: An off duty officer noticed a couple at 106 West Washington Street together in a vehicle. The officer had knowledge the couple have an active Order of Protection prohibiting them from being together. Officers responded and spoke to the couple, who denied arriving at the business together. The officer gathered video from the business showing the female get out of the male’s vehicle and enter the business. The male parks and then enters the business. The officer has applied for Arrest Warrants for Jason William Sheldahl, 48 of Jefferson and Tanisha Kathleen Rice, 44 of Jefferson for, “Violation of Protective Order – Simple and Providing False Information to Officer – Simple.”

1:49pm: Officers and a deputy went to 715 South Elm Street and arrested a male, who had outstanding Jefferson Police Department Arrest Warrants. Daniel Joseph Tasler, 28 of Jefferson was arrested for, “Child Endangerment/Serious Injury – Class C Felony and Obstruction of Emergency Communication – Simple.” The charges stem from a report taken by an officer at ER on 12/29/2019 concerning the assault of a Jefferson child.

2:26pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of Briarwood Bend.

Wednesday, January 1st

12:06am: Lisa Mobley reported a group of subjects screaming and fighting in the 700 Block of West State Street. The officer located a couple walking in the alley. As the officer attempted to speak with the two, the female ran from the area on foot. The officer spoke to the male party, who advised the female’s name to the officer. He advised they had been involved in a Verbal Argument while walking in the area.

2:02am: Officers assisted the staff at 777 Wild Rose Lane with a Medical Call.

3:12am: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a Speeding Vehicle near 220th and Orchard. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Vilma Espanola Howlett of Boone for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious.”

8:41am: An officer took a Burglary Complaint at 700 West State Street. Items had been removed from the garage and residence overnight. The officer has developed a suspect and continues to investigate.

11:21am: The A & W Restaurant reported Criminal Mischief had occurred to the business at 300 North Elm Street overnight. Video clearly shows a male and female couple at the location. The male kicks the doors and a sign, causing damage. The officer is investigating.

12:53pm: Officers assisted the GC ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of Greenewood Road.

3:33pm: A Traffic Stop in the 300 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Juan Guzman of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

4:28pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Grimmell Road resulted in James Fieldhans of Sac City being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

6:51pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of North Oak Street.

8:17pm: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Rickey Garrett of Lorhville being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
