The candidates for the Democratic party’s nomination for President of the United States continue to spend a lot of time in Iowa in the weeks leading up to the 2020 Caucuses, and one of them will be visiting Perry this Friday.

California entrepreneur Andrew Yang is making his third trip to Dallas County, and his first stop in Perry. He will be a guest of the Perry Area Democrats at the Perry Perk Coffee Shop Friday evening for a free meet and greet with the public. Doors will open for the event at 7:30 p.m., with Yang scheduled to speak at 8. Registration is not required to attend, though space will be limited so people are advised to get there early. Yang has been to Adel twice since announcing his campaign for President.

He is one of 15 Democratic candidates vying for the Presidential nomination in the June primary election, and like the rest he’s hoping to garner support prior to the February 3rd Iowa Caucuses. For more information on the meet and greet, contact Perry Area Democrats Chairperson Monica Peitz at 515-465-9882.
