The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Thursday morning for their first regular session of 2020.

The meeting will begin with the selection of the Board Chairperson for the new year. They will then have discussion and possible action on the County’s insurance renewal through the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP). Next, the Supervisors will consider several annual appointments, including: Board committee assignments; official depositories and newspapers; eminent domain; and the technical committees for Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance (CIRTPA) and the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).

Finally, the Board will consider a resolution for a construction evaluation, and will set the time and date for a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the local option sales and service tax use. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room, located at 902 Court Street in Adel.
