
Information has been released on another vehicle incident that occurred on Interstate 80 in Adair County Saturday afternoon.
According to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Scott Gordon Gymer of Greenfield was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe westbound at about 3:03 p.m. near mile marker 92 when he slowed down while approaching another incident. His vehicle was struck by a Mini Cooper driven by 24-year-old Jessica Lynn Burbank of Stamford, Connecticut, who stated she didn’t slow down fast enough. The road surface was reported to be wet, with fog and rain conditions. Gymer’s vehicle was driven from the scene, and he and a passenger were privately transported to the Adair County Memorial Hospital for treatment of possible injuries. Stuart Police, Fire, and Rescue departments also assisted at the scene.
