Today marks the start of the 2020 portion of the high school wrestling season for the Greene County Rams with the first practice in more than a week. Coach Zach Beekman’s team has a 10-3 dual meet record and has six duels in a 48-hour period once action resumes in January. The Rams have a quadrangular at Woodward on Jan. 7, then they host a quad in the middle school gym in Jefferson on Jan. 9. A busy first week of 2020 concludes on Jan. 11 with a trip to Monroe for the PCM Mustangs Invitational.

Freshman McKinley Robbins has the top winning percentage on the team with a 12-1 record. He was unranked at 106 lbs. in Class 2A to begin his high school career, but is now rated second or third, depending on the poll, with the only loss to the number one ranked wrestler in 2A at the weight by a score of 7-4. Robbins missed the last week of competition in December due to illness.

Junior Brady Stauffer (138) leads the team in wins with 17, followed by senior Will Hansen at 152 lbs. with 16, and sophomore Brenner Gallagher at 113 bs. has 15 victories.
