Dallas County Conservation knows at this time of year, kids often feel cooped up in their homes. To remedy that, they invite people to an event they’re calling “Kick Your Cabin Fever.”
Conservation Outreach Coordinator Ken Keffer says the program will be held tomorrow from 1-3 p.m. at Forest Park Museum in Perry. He promises it will be a fun time, while also getting kids active. “The kids have probably been home from school for a week or so (and) they’re getting a little restless. If it’s a nice day we’ll send them outside, if it’s a colder day we’ll keep them inside. But no matter what it’s going to be a fun day. We’re going to have arts and crafts (and) there’s going to be the popcorn machine, which is honestly my favorite part of these events. Just a great time to explore the museum and get everyone out of the house a little bit. So come on out to the museum and spend the afternoon with us!”
There is no cost to attend the event and preregistration is not required. To learn more about this and other upcoming Conservation events, listen to today’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program on air and at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
