Two important administrative positions in the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District are at different stages of the hiring process, with resolution on one expected soon.

For the last few months, ADM has been searching for a replacement for retiring Business Manager Nancy Gee, aided by the candidate search firm Grundmeyer Leader Services (GLS). Superintendent Greg Dufoe says they had the final round of interviews on December 18th, and a decision on Gee’s replacement is expected to come in the early part of January. As for the other position, Dufoe says it’s been open for longer but they had a quick fix that allowed them to address it later.

“Additionally, we have the Activities Director position that was made available when our AD left in August. And we decided to fill that with an interim this year: Larry Moklestad from Boone, who is a retired AD, agreed to come and fill the gap for a year and he’s done a tremendous job. But we’re going to look for the full-time replacement and hopefully conclude that in March. And GLS will help facilitate that search as well. So we’re excited about both.”
