Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity recently announced the results from their recent Nativity Festival held in Jefferson.

Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Jeff Lamoureux says they raised $7,152 from the December 8th event at the First United Methodist Church. Bank donations accounted for $1,950, another $1,900 came from the pie auction and $330 from the silent auction for 11 nativity scenes. Lamoureux appreciates everyone who was involved in hosting and attending the 8th annual event.

“Yeah the community support, it has been great. We always think, ‘This is the 8th annual, when has this thing run its course?’ But every year the people come out. Again, our volunteers that work on the committee put together a good event, and we try to make it a high quality event. We do get just great support from everyone.”

Funds will be used for the 2020 housing projects in Greene County.
