After last Saturday’s Tiger-Knight Invitational at Carroll High, Greene County head wrestling coach Zach Beekman talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about giving his wrestlers time off until Dec. 30. “We’ve got some guys banged up, bruised up, and some of them are sick, so they just need some time away, time with family, and relax a little bit. We’re actually fortunate that we have a week of practice before we compete again, which is really nice. Last year we didn’t have that opportunity. We only had four days of practice before our first meet back.”
The Rams will return to the practice room on Monday, and won’t compete until Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Woodward in a quadrangular hosted by Woodward-Granger. The quad also involves Martensdale-St. Mary’s and Nodaway Valley.
