Not everyone feels an abundance of holiday cheer this time of year, and in fact for many people the season can bring stress, loneliness, or a reminder of loss.
Taking that into consideration, the Perry Ministerial Association is hosting a more lowkey and reflective Christmas service. “Blue Christmas” will take place tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Andrea Brownlee, Paster at First Christian Church in Perry and President of the Ministerial Association, says the purpose of the service is to offer hope and welcome to people who aren’t feeling so merry or bright this year. She emphasizes that everyone is welcome, regardless of faith or denomination, and no monetary contributions are expected.
