Downtown Jefferson has undergone some changes to make the holiday season come alive.
Jefferson Matters: Main Street Design Team has recently planted greenery in the 12 pillar planters and 24 cluster planters around the square. The planters were made by Olson IronWorks in Churdan. The greenery is provided by Fudge’s Flowers and Gifts. Additionally, there are new lighted snowflakes that are hung on the light poles on the square. The new snowflakes were recommended by the Design Team and approved by the Jefferson City Council last year.
JMMS worked with the City and utilized funds received from Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation from the adjusted gross revenue that Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson receives and 0.5-percent of that is given automatically to the City for being the host city of the casino.
