The Greene County School Board met Wednesday night in regular session.
The Board approved two items with the 2020 sales tax revenue bonds for the new high school and career academy project. A private placement engagement letter with Piper Jaffray was approved to help set up selling the bonds, along with approving a preliminary loan participation package to send to potential bond purchasers.
Additionally, the Board approved the first reading to allow the voluntary retirement policy as presented and waived the second reading, the School Budget Review Committee requests for modified supplement for open enrollment out of $44,457 for the district’s previous year’s enrollment and the English Language Learners for those who have exceeded five years of weighted funding of $4,583. The Board also approved a change order for the building project with Henkel Construction of $51,782 as presented and a first reading for a revised board policy on students using the internet safely and responsibly.
Finally, the Board approved a school driver’s permit for a student that lives within one-mile of the high school.
