A Jefferson man was sentenced for one of two felony cases in Guthrie County.
Court records show that 24-year-old Rodney James Blackmon pled guilty to one count of possession of methamphetamine third offense, and possession of a schedule II controlled substance, both class D felonies. Blackmon was given suspended five-year prison sentences and has been placed on three years probation for each offense, to be served concurrently. He must pay over $4,000 in fines, court costs, fees, and surcharges. All other charges associated with this case have been dismissed. This case stems from an October 4th incident in which a search warrant was executed by the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office at a Bayard residence. This was the second search warrant executed on Blackmon at the same residence where he was charged with felony drug offenses in July. That case remains ongoing. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
